The next open enrollment period for individual health insurance plans will begin on November 15 with coverage effective as early as January 1, 2015. Individuals may apply for coverage anytime during the open enrollment period which runs from November 15, 2014 to February 15, 2015. Individuals may only apply for coverage outside of the open enrollment period if they have a qualifying event such as marriage, adoption, birth of a child, or an involuntary loss of coverage.
